TRIBUTE 23
Tribute 23 is an El Paso-based community art project that travels to different parts of the region to promote collective healing through the arts for the victims of the El Paso Walmart shooting.

Healing Through Music
The song “Never Gonna Fade” by Mick Heron would essentially repeat “forever” inside of the traveling installation, symbolizing that those we lost are Never Gonna Fade.
Local talent will be hand-selected to pay their own tributes in their respective communities.
Mission
Tribute 23 aims to bring El Paso and outlying border communities together as a tribute to the victims of the Walmart shooting. We want to promote the businesses and artistic talent that makes El Paso a unique destination and hold the economic fabric of the community together. Our goal is to heal and transform El Paso, the Borderland Region and the nation with art and music during COVID.
Healing Through Art
Installation artist, Laura Turon, repurposes her Paradox Traveling Art installation into the Tribute 23 bus that serves as a place of healing where messages of support would be written on the interior of the bus by members of the community.
Impact
Draw positive attention to the city of El Paso by creating a truly unique work of art that will be accessible to the community. The site would be built to encourage social sharing while social distancing.
Additional benefits include:
Activate Neighborhood & Governmental Organizations
, Economic Development,
Make Art & Science Accessible to All,
Enjoy Benefits of the Environment & Wildlife with sustainability in mind.
